Hi, I'm Jen Rosen, a fitness and nutrition coach. I'm not just your typical fitness enthusiast; I'm a married mother of four children and a proud owner of a lazy Rottweiler. Growing up in Toronto, Ontario, and later relocating to Ottawa in 2019, I've had my fair share of experiences. I attended Northern Secondary School before entering the realm of motherhood. After the birth of my first child, I pursued my passion for early childhood education, studying at Seneca College in King City. I worked diligently as an ECE in daycares until my second child came along. At that point, I made the decision to focus on raising my children while working as a Partylite consultant. While at home, I discovered a new interest in jewelry making. Eager to expand my skills, I enrolled in an online course at the New York Institute of Art and Design, where I honed my craft and began selling my designs. However, I soon realized the sedentary nature of jewelry making was taking a toll on my health. I sought the guidance of a personal trainer at Extreme Fitness and fell in love with training. Regardless of weight loss or muscle gain, the feeling of accomplishment and vitality kept me motivated. With a desire to share this transformative experience, my journey into fitness began. As life continued to unfold, I ended up pregnant with my third child. I found it very hard to find a trainer with certifications to coach me through pregnancy. In fact, none of the trainers I saw had any background. I welcomed my third child while taking an anatomy course at Seneca College. I also made the decision to become a personal trainer for women and have some kind of background in training through pregnancy and post pregnancy. Amidst the demands of motherhood and education, I embarked on the path to becoming a certified personal trainer. Determined to take the right route, I obtained my certification through CanFitPro. Upon my move to Ottawa, I got the incredible opportunity to work with the same fitness manager who guided me through my fitness journey. At Goodlife Fitness, I developed my skills further, earning additional certifications and expanding my knowledge base. Now, I am focused on building my own fitness business, where I can empower women to reach their goals and feel incredible. Honesty, kindness, integrity and a little bit of humor are values that guide my work. I believe in bringing laughter and positivity to every training session, creating an environment where my clients feel motivated and supported. Outside of my profession, I find great joy in participating in events like the mud girl race in July. It's a thrilling experience that allows me to embrace my adventurous side. Moving forward, I am eager to continue expanding my knowledge to provide the best possible support to my clients. My goal is to help women transform their lives and feel amazing, both mentally and physically. In closing, one personal insight I live by is that nothing will change until you put in the effort to change it. I firmly believe in the power of dedication and hard work to overcome obstacles and achieve dreams. As your fitness and nutrition coach, I am dedicated to helping you unlock your true potential and embrace a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle. Together, we can make a lasting change.
